Eketahuna Gravel Grind 27th May

 Gravel

Starting in Eketahuna, the long course makes a great ride in May. We've planned so that you pass through Pongoroa at lunchtime to grab a burger from the pub or a coffee and a pie from the shop next door.

You can choose any of the three routes on the day.

When 27th May

Where: Outside the Lazy Graze Cafe at 7 am.

Three routes

66km https://ridewithgps.com/routes/42657427

Great circuit with nothing too steep, maxing out at 10.4%. This route is 51% unpaved.

132km https://ridewithgps.com/routes/42657471

This route covers much of the same course the 66 does, plus a bit of the countryside against the Tararua ranges. This route is 48% unpaved.

183km https://ridewithgps.com/routes/42549311

183km is a big day out on gravel, so be prepared. Much of this route is the same as the Pahiatua route, reversed, so you do most of the climbing up Coonoor road and descend Towai.

Pub and Cafe/Store at Pongaroa. 60% of this route is unpaved.
