
There are three great routes to choose from to suit all tastes. The 132 km route is extremely popular, taking in some of the best gravel roads this part of the country has to offer. We have something for you, too, if you want something shorter or longer.
The routes

It's a great circuit with nothing too steep, maxing out at 10.4%. This route is 51% unpaved.

This route covers much of the same course as the 66, plus a bit of the countryside against the Tararua ranges. It is 48% unpaved.
183km https://ridewithgps.com/routes/42549311
183km is a big day out on gravel, so be prepared. Much of this route is the same as the Pahiatua route, reversed, so you do most of the climbing up Coonoor road and descend Towai.
Pub and Cafe/Store at Pongaroa. 60% of this route is unpaved.
